Cornerstone HR & Migration is a specialist recruitment and migration firm working at the intersection of talent, compliance, and workforce strategy. We partner closely with employers across Australia to solve difficult hiring problems — often under tight timelines — by sourcing candidates locally and internationally and supporting them through recruitment and visa pathways.
As the business grows, we are looking for a high-calibre Recruitment Specialist who can operate with speed, judgment, and accountability.
This is not a volume-based recruitment role. It is a core position in a lean firm, suited to someone who wants real responsibility and long-term growth.
About the role
You will be responsible for end-to-end recruitment delivery across both candidate-driven and employer-driven mandates, including:
Proactively sourcing employers for strong, ready-to-place candidates
Working with employers who are actively hiring and need fast, reliable recruitment outcomes
Sourcing, screening, and shortlisting candidates using existing recruiter networks, referrals, and direct sourcing
Managing multiple roles and priorities under tight timelines
Conducting interviews and assessing both technical fit and work ethic
Coordinating closely with migration professionals to ensure visa-aligned recruitment outcomes
This role requires someone who can move quickly, think commercially, and make sound decisions without constant supervision.
About you
This role will suit someone who:
Has solid experience in recruitment (agency or in-house)
Is confident sourcing both candidates and employers, not just waiting for inbound roles
Understands urgency, accountability, and delivery
Is organised, resilient, and comfortable working independently
Communicates clearly and professionally with business owners, managers, and candidates
Wants to be a key contributor in a small firm rather than a small cog in a large one
Experience with skilled migration, sponsorship, or international recruitment is highly regarded, but not essential if you are a strong recruiter with commercial instincts.
