About This Role
The ideal candidate will be a passionate and reliable Sous Chef, able to step into a fast-paced kitchen environment. As the second-in-charge, they will take the lead when the Head Chef is away. Key responsibilities include keeping the kitchen running smoothly, maintaining high food quality standards, and supporting the team during busy services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Helping run a busy kitchen
* Assuming acting Head Chef duties when required
* Preparing and cooking a wide range of menu items
* Maintaining food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards
* Following recipes, presentation standards, and storage procedures
* Contributing to menu ideas and cost control in a high-volume venue
What We're Looking For
We require someone with strong communication skills (spoken and written), who can remain calm under pressure. Flexibility with hours, including weekends and nights as needed, is also essential. Additionally, we seek an individual with great culinary skills and attention to detail. A solid understanding of food safety programs and commercial kitchen requirements is necessary.
