What your day could look like
In this role, you're part of the frontline that keeps patient access to specialist care running smoothly. You'll support a busy outpatient environment where accurate information, respectful communication and reliable coordination truly improve people's healthcare experience.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
Keeping referral and patient information accurate so people receive timely access to care.
Supporting patients, clinicians and external partners with clear, confidential and compassionate communication.
Helping strengthen systems and processes that improve how outpatient services operate.
Collaborating with your team to ensure smooth workflow, problem-solving and timely outcomes for the community.
Let's talk about you!
You bring heart, focus and professionalism to your work. You thrive in a fast-paced environment where accuracy matters, people depend on you, and your calm approach helps others feel supported. You're proud of the role you play in connecting patients with the care they need, because you know those moments have real impact.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
Strong capability using digital systems, with confidence managing high-volume data with care and accuracy.
Clear, respectful communication skills and the ability to support people with empathy and professionalism.
A customer-focused mindset, balancing autonomy with being a reliable team contributor.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a busy, changing environment.
You'll stand out if you have experience in healthcare, community services or regional settings, and/or additional training in administration or health support.
Above all, you bring the values that guide us at Darling Downs Health, compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage, helping ensure every patient feels supported and every interaction makes a difference.
In this role, your care and capability help create smoother journeys and better health outcomes for our community.
