Are you looking for that work/life balance?
We are currently hiring for a Procurement Officer / Clinic Assistant with laboratory skills to join our IVF Clinic. Under the supervision of the Nurse Unit Manager and Laboratory Manager, this role encompasses a wide range of departments; working with patients, doctors, nursing and scientific staff.
It is a very busy role, critical for the running of an IVF unit with lots of variety. Your typical day will include:
* Procurement of supplies – a large part of this role involves ordering linen; IVF lab supplies and consumables across the entire clinic.
* Preparing the lab for daily procedures including assisting with washing, wrapping, and sterilising all glassware.
* Monitoring reagents and maintaining adequate inventory and timely purchasing of necessary supplies.
* Liaising with the hospital – ensuring CSSD supplies are sufficient for daily/weekly procedures.
* Receiving, archiving, and removal of used linen & CSSD equipment in accordance with established procedures.
* Assisting with general nursing and laboratory administration.
Qualifications
A certification in Science & Technology, biology, or a related discipline is desirable but not essential.
What do you need to succeed?
* Previous work as a procurement officer.
* Previous experience working in a laboratory environment.
* Genuine interest in science and being part of a team.
* Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
* Common sense and the ability to remain calm in heightened situations.
* Organisational skills and ability to prioritise your day.
* High attention to detail.
* Full working rights in Australia
