**Harm Reduction Specialist**
About the Role
* We are seeking a skilled Harm Reduction Specialist to join our team in providing vital harm reduction advice and support with a focus on safer drug use, safer sex, HIV, Hepatitis A, B, and C, and other blood-borne infections.
* This role involves maintaining a full caseload of clients as the key worker, ensuring each client's needs are met through comprehensive assessments, collaborative care packages, and effective onward referrals.
* The successful candidate will assist and support nurse prescribers during prescribing clinics, ensuring smooth operational flow and contributing to community health and safety through the operation of a needle exchange service.
* This position requires a commitment to service user involvement, ensuring voices are heard and acted upon in collaboration with a range of professionals to meet service users' needs concerning safeguarding and mental health.
* The specialist will work closely with clients to encourage progress in their recovery, assisting them in moving away from maintenance treatment as appropriate.
