PERMANENT FULL TIME POSITION (Marian Mill) About the role Reporting directly to the designated Shift Supervisor, you will have the responsibility for the remote operation of factory steam turbines, boilers and the milling train from the boiler control room. You will be a key member of the Marian Production Team, self-motivated and committed to achieving targets in relation to safety, quality and productivity. You will be a person that is comfortable with working on shift in a continuous improvement environment, driven by systems, processes and discipline. You will also be computer literate and have the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with team members, be team-oriented, have a positive attitude and strong communication skills. Required: Turbine Operator (TO) (High Risk Licence) Advanced Boiler Operation (BA) (High Risk Licence) High level of teamwork and collaboration skills Willingness to learn and develop Computer literacy (Citect/SCADA preferable) Advanced understanding of boiler operation (18-30 bar) Preferable: Queensland Open Driver's Licence (Manual) Forklift (High Risk Licence); and Boiler Operating Experience in the sugar industry Experience leading operational teams of up to 3 operators In return, as an employee of Mackay Sugar you will enjoy benefits such as career opportunities, training and development, access to discounted products and services at more than 20 local businesses and wellbeing initiatives including free annual flu vaccinations, and regular health checks.
