About the role:
Drake Medox is seeking fun, enthusiastic and hard-working support workers within the Frankston area.
Our client, living at home with an Acquired Brain Injury, is seeking support workers to join their dynamic team on an on-going basis. This is a great opportunity for you to make a difference in our client's life, as well as enhance your skills and knowledge with ongoing client specific training.
Our client is non-verbal; you must have excellent communication and engagement skills. The right candidate will be flexible and available to work active night shifts, Morning and afternoon shifts.
Your key responsibilities
Our team is looking for a dedicated and passionate Support Worker who can undertake the following key responsibilities:
* Manual handling
* Personal care
* Catheter care
* Medication administration
* Domestic assistance
* Bowel Care management
* PEG management and feeds
* Cough assistance
* Full supervision of the client
* Pressure area management
* Seizure and diabetes management
* Work with the client and assist with personal care and manual handling
* Assisting and supporting the client in the home and out in the community
About you
To join the team, we are looking for the following skills and experience:
* Previous disability experience (minimum 2 years)
* Minimum Cert III in Disability or other relevant qualifications
* Manual handling experience (essential)
* PEG management (essential)
* Personal care experience
* Current accredited First aid and CPR
* Yellow card/NDIS Screening Card
* Manual handling certificate (or willing to obtain)
* Medication certificate (or willing to obtain)
* Right to live and work within Australia
* Valid Australian Driver's License
* NDIS worker screener check
We are also looking for someone with great communication skills, who works well in a team, has a caring and supportive nature, and is client focused.
