The opportunity We are seeking an experienced, energetic and capable Maintenance Supervisor to lead our Maintenance team for the 2026 season. This role is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of maintenance activities across lodge accommodation, back‐of‐house, plant, grounds and infrastructure, ensuring a safe, well‐presented, guest‐ready property at all times.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, coordinate and support the Maintenance team to deliver high‐quality outcomes across the lodge and staff areas.
* Prioritise and allocate daily tasks, balancing reactive issues with planned preventative work.
* Be the escalation point for maintenance requests, ensuring timely communication and resolution.
* Maintain high standards of safety and compliance, including safe manual handling, working at heights (ladders), and general risk management.
* Coordinate and supervise contractors as required, ensuring works are completed safely and to standard.
* Support stock control of tools, consumables and spare parts to keep the team operational and responsive.
* Drive a proactive "fix it before it fails" approach to minimise downtime and maintain guest experience.
Hands‐on maintenance scope (you will supervise and also assist as needed)
* Patching and painting; minor carpentry repairs and damage rectification
* Replacing door handles, locks and basic hardware
* Clearing plumbing blockages; repairing leaking taps and shower heads
* Troubleshooting minor electrical equipment issues (within competency), replacing globes and lighting equipment
* Minor repairs of kitchen and laundry equipment
* Cleaning, basic grounds and general upkeep tasks as required
What we're looking for
* Proven experience in a maintenance leadership/supervisory role (ideally in hospitality, remote sites, facilities, or similar).
* Strong ability to triage issues, plan work, and keep multiple priorities moving with minimal supervision.
* Practical, solutions‐focused approach, including the ability to implement safe temporary workarounds when needed.
* Excellent attention to detail and pride in presentation standards.
* Current Australian driver licence.
* Physically capable and safety‐minded, including the ability to safely climb a ladder and move objects in line with safe manual handling procedures.
