Holy Family is an integral part of the faith community of Mt Waverley. Holy Family is governed under the authority of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Limited (MACS). MACS is the employer of employees at Holy Family School.
We are currently seeking a full time teacher for a Year 3 class to commence 28th July 2025 for the remainder of the 2025 school year.
Candidates must have an ability to plan, work and learn in a team environment. They must have excellent classroom routines and a commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education and contemporary pedagogues.
Holy Family School is a high performing school seeking a committed classroom teacher.
The successful applicant will:
* actively participate in Holy Family's Professional Learning Community and work closely with their Professional Learning Team
* display a sound understanding of evidence based Literacy programs, contemporary teaching approaches to Mathematics
* demonstrate knowledge about explicit teaching and structured literacy
* be open to continue their learning journey as a classroom teacher (novel studies, knowledge rich curriculum)
* monitor and assess learners using data to plan for future success
* understand how learners learn and how best to meet their needs
* foster a safe and challenging learning environment that truly makes a difference
Skills/Experience required:
• Bachelor of Education or relevant tertiary qualification.
• A strong commitment to Catholic education.
• An ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• An ability to create an engaging, educational, and challenging learning environment that caters for the needs of all students.
• An eagerness to learn.
• An enthusiasm to implement a differentiated curriculum and use modern technology to support student learning.

Special Requirements

• The successful applicant will hold the Victorian Institute of Teaching registration.
• Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school is preferred.
