Dnata Catering UK are actively seeking a Commis Chef to join our already successful and vibrant team at Newcastle airport. As a Commis Chef you will play a pivotal role in developing and producing meals for first, business and economy class passengers. This role is central to our services, allowing us to fulfil our mission of delivering the promises our customers make.
The Role
As a Commis Chef you will be working within our culinary team:
* Preparing, cooking and presenting a range of quality meals to specification standards
* Assisting other chefs in the kitchen with general duties
* Working as part of a team in a customer centric environment
* Maintaining a clean and safe workstation
* Assisting with stock rotation
* Working in a manner that promotes good health and safety practices
Please note your duties will include but are not limited to the above
Requirements
To undertake this role, you must:
* Either City & Guilds 706/1 or 2 or NVQ Level 1 or 2
* Previous catering experience
* Fully knife trained
* Ability to work on a shift basis including evenings and weekends, with some manual handling/bending and reaching
* Have adequate numeracy and English skills
