We are looking for an experienced Boiler Attendant/Operator to join our team at the Grantham Processing Plant While experience is preferred, we offer thorough in-house training for the right candidate.
About the Role:
You'll be working in a high-volume food manufacturing facility where plant availability, reliability, and capability are key priorities. As a Boiler Attendant, you'll ensure the safe, efficient, and effective operation, monitoring, and basic maintenance of steam-generated boilers, the steam distribution system, and hot water systems, all while adhering to strict safety practices and procedures.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Keeping the boilers running smoothly by operating, monitoring, and testing the boiler, condenser water, and water treatment systems.
* Tackle maintenance tasks and drive plant improvement projects.
* Keeping the team in the loop with any operational updates.
* Power up, run, and safely shut down gas-powered boilers as needed.
* Ensure safety by monitoring and testing all boiler safety systems.
* Testing boiler water for conductivity and fine-tune chemical dosing for optimal performance.
About You:
* You hold a Queensland High-Risk Work License for Boilers, or you're eager to obtain one with our support.
* You have a knack for performing basic maintenance on plant and machinery.
* You are skilled at monitoring equipment, gauges, and valves, with the ability to make adjustments as needed.
* You have hands-on experience in operating and maintaining steam systems within a manufacturing environment.
