About Us
Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is a wonderful place to expand your career and grow your skills and knowledge. As a recognised leader in the healthcare industry, we provide a range of public health services to the Nepean and Blue Mountains and Lithgow Region.
NBMLHD Community Mental Health offers a range of specialised services for children, young people, families and older people, through our community-based services and health centres. Our multidisciplinary health professionals and case managers take a collaborative approach to mental health care by linking with their patients to work together and consult within an environment appropriate to the person\'s needs.
What You Will Do
This is more than a job, it's a calling to transform lives in the Hawkesbury community. As a psychologist in this vital role, you'll be at the forefront of improving health, well-being, and quality of life for individuals living with severe mental illness. Your expertise will guide targeted, impactful interventions that blend clinical mental health treatment with disability support and seamless connections to essential community services.
You'll be part of a deeply collaborative effort, delivering care that's comprehensive, integrated, and coordinated across multiple service systems. Your psychological insight will shape multidisciplinary assessments, drive therapeutic interventions, and inform discharge planning—all within a biopsychosocial framework that sees the whole person, not just the diagnosis.
If you're ready to bring your skills where they're needed most and be part of a team that's rewriting the story for people facing complex mental health challenges, this is your opportunity to make a lasting difference.
