Job Summary:
As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of mill operations to meet customer orders.
Responsibilities:
* Assist with all aspects of mill operations including receiving and processing timber, packaging and shipping products, and maintaining a safe working environment.
* Support quality control across the production area, identifying and addressing any issues that may impact product quality.
* Sort and merchandise timber for further processing, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing material wastage.
* Process, pack, and prepare materials to fulfill orders, meeting tight deadlines and high standards of quality.
* Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a clean, safe workspace, adhering to health and safety protocols and best practices.
Requirements:
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
* Ability to work at heights, using hand tools, drills, and basic equipment safely and efficiently.
* Experience in timber mill operations or a similar industry is desirable, but not essential. We are open to training and developing the right candidate.
