About the Role
We're seeking experienced and qualified Heavy Diesel Fitters to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for:
* Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
* Conducting preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
* Working on a variety of underground mining equipment, including:
o Sandvik trucks, drills, and loaders
o CAT graders
o Volvo integrated tool carriers
* Scoping jobs and accurately estimating time, materials, and resource requirements
* Collaborating closely with shift supervisors, mechanics, and other underground personnel

What We're Looking For
* A Heavy Diesel Mechanic qualification recognised in Australia (essential)
* At least 2 years' post-trade experience in underground mining or related industries (e.g. agriculture, civil, construction)
* A manual driver's licence (essential) and relevant RPLs to operate underground vehicles
* Solid knowledge of underground mining regulations, procedures, and safe handling of explosives
* Strong diagnostic, fault-finding, and maintenance skills
* Capability to work in confined spaces and handle physically demanding conditions
* Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical to include a drug and alcohol screening
* National Police Clearance within the last 6 months required for this role
