Role Overview
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will manage the Accounts Receivable function from end to end while providing broader finance support across reconciliations, documentation control, and liaison with Accounts Payable and Operations.
The environment is fast-moving, hands-on, and practical. Ideal for someone who thrives in busy settings where priorities shift and communication with blue-collar teams is part of the daily rhythm. Industry experience in construction or logistics will be highly valued.
MYOB experience is highly regarded.
Responsibilities
* Manage all Accounts Receivable duties including allocations, matching, coding, and resolving discrepancies.
* Conduct proactive debt collection and credit control to maintain strong cash flow.
* Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations with accuracy across high transaction volumes.
* Liaise closely with Operations to clarify job details, documentation, and invoicing requirements.
* Partner with Accounts Payable to ensure data accuracy and smooth workflow across finance functions.
* Maintain paper-based documentation and support six-month audit requirements.
* Provide hands-on assistance to the Finance Manager across general finance tasks and reporting needs.
* Identify opportunities to improve manual processes and help streamline the finance function.
* Support a small, collaborative team and contribute to a positive, practical workplace culture.
* Assist with ad hoc finance and administrative duties as required.
Candidate Profile
You are an experienced Accounts Officer or AR Specialist with a strong background in high-volume Accounts Receivable. You're confident using MYOB, completing reconciliations independently, and solving problems quickly and accurately.
You enjoy working in fast-paced, operational environments and can communicate effectively with both office and site-based teams. You're proactive, take initiative, and naturally "connect the dots" to prevent issues before they arise.
Experience in construction, logistics, trades, or similar industries will be highly regarded.
