About the role
This position is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people only.
We are seeking a highly skilled and culturally competent Service Delivery Manager to oversee the management of Aboriginal Housing in Batemans Bay. The role reports to the Chief Services Officer and leads a team of 2 Team Leaders, 2 Housing Officers and a cohort of Cadets working and training towards their Cert IV in Community Housing.
**Responsibilities**:
- Oversee the accurate and timely management of housing services and community engagement.
- Provide coaching, support and supervision to the tenancy team
- Manage team performance, recruitment, training, induction and wellbeing
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and ensure KPI's are met
- Address escalated complaints and resolve housing disputes and conflicts
- Ensure the culturally safe delivery of tenancy and community engagement practices.
- Ensure compliance with the Residential Tenancy Act and other regulatory requirements governing housing operations.
Selection criteria
- Cert IV in Social Housing and/or or other relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience OR a 4 year degree with mínimal experience.
- An awareness of, or the ability to gain knowledge of the regulatory and compliance frameworks that SEARMS works within, particularly the Residential Tenancies Act and the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
- Demonstrated good standard of written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated skill resolving conflict and disputes in a similar environment
- Demonstrated ability to produce quality work with strong attention to detail within defined deadlines
- In depth knowledge of Aboriginal culture, cultural safe communication
- Effective time management and organisational skills
- Commitment to the safety, wellbeing and continuous improvement of a team.
