We have an immediate requirement for a Cost Controller to support project cost control activities across major rail infrastructure projects, including stations and facilities.
This is a 3-4 month contract role with the opportunity for extension, offering a hybrid working arrangement.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Develop and update project cost estimates, budgets, change requests, and forecasts
* Set up tools, templates, processes and related documentation for cost management
* Proactively monitor project costs and update existing cost estimation rate tables in Excel
* Verify the quality of cost related data feeding various cost/financial reports
* Monitor project cost performance by conducting earned value analysis
* Ensure effective communication of budgetary details, expenditures, forecasts, and project progress to management, facilitating informed decision‐making
Skills and Requirements
* Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business or similar would be beneficial
* 3-5 years of experience working as a Cost Controller or similar (e.g. Finance Officer, Project Accountant, Cost Advisor etc.)
* Understanding of and/or experience with visualisation tools such as Power BI would be advantageous but is not mandatory
* Excellent verbal & written skills including ability to interface with various stakeholders across a business
* Project Controls experience would be valuable but is not essential
