We are now seeking a skilled and motivated afternoon Boning Room Manager to join our production team at our Murray Bridge facility and run our afternoon Boning Room Production team as well as being responsible for the entire site and its teams on this shift.
The Role:
This is a hands-on afternoon manager position responsible for overseeing daily operations in the boning room, ensuring operational targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and compliance.
In addition, this role will be responsible for the oversite of all areas of operations on this shift.
As afternoon Boning Room Manager, you will:
- Supervise and manage the Boning Room afternoon production and department Team Leaders
- Be responsible for the oversite of Loadout, Maintenance, Cleaners, Quality Assurance as well as the Boning Room afternoon production targets
- Assist with planning and scheduling of operations with optimum manning levels, to meet output and quality targets
- Train, coach, and develop operation team members to ensure high performance
- Proactively work with all areas and management teams across the site
- Assist with the management of departmental roster and labour requirements to minimise costs
- Liaise with the Maintenance department for immediate corrective actions for breakdowns and maintenance of equipment
- Foster a positive, inclusive and safety- focused team culture
What you will bring to the role, highly regarded experience and key Qualifications include:
· Proven experience in a similar operations or manager role
· A proactive approach to safety, quality and compliance
· Excellent communication and organisational abilities
· Experience with process improvement and lean manufacturing
· Strong analytical ability, verbal and written communication skills
· Knowledge in HACCP and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) programs an advantage.
· Qualifications in food and processing desirable
