Role and impact
As an L&D Trainer, you will assist in the implementation of the strategic L&D training plan by delivering high-quality training programs that support safe work practices and ensure compliance within a healthcare environment. You'll play a vital role in improving patient and staff safety across Fiona Stanley Hospital.
You'll make a positive impact by:
* Delivering and assessing training programs and competencies in patient handling and Aggression Prevention Intervention – API2
* Assisting in risk minimisation strategies related to patient handling tasks
* Completing safety observation assessments and competencies
* Maintaining training statistics and supporting LMS course management and participant results
* Ensuring training delivery meets Serco and WA Health quality standards
* Contributing to continuous improvement and upholding HRMS values
Qualifications and requirements
* Demonstrated experience in a healthcare environment
* Experience delivering and assessing patient handling or aggression prevention–related training
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong customer focus and ability to build effective relationships
* Ability to work autonomously and within a team
* Ability to adapt quickly to new training processes and technologies
* Knowledge of WHS and ergonomic principles relevant to manual handling and aggression management
* Workplace First Aid certification including current CPR
* Bachelor qualification in human movement, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, nursing or related field, or working towards this (desirable)
* National Police Check (essential)
* Up-to-date vaccination status in line with Department of Health requirements
