How You'll Make a Difference

As part of the HR Operations team, you will contribute to the delivery of contemporary HR services and support organisational objectives through practical workforce advice and partnership.

Key responsibilities include:

* Providing advice and support on a range of human resource matters, including leave, employee relations, case management, recruitment, classification, workforce planning, and organisational change
* Supporting managers in the interpretation and application of employment frameworks, industrial instruments, policies, and procedures
* Assisting with performance management, grievance resolution, and other workplace matters
* Preparing HR correspondence, reports, documentation, and case materials
* Contributing to workforce initiatives, service improvement activities, and HR projects
* Maintaining accurate workforce records and HR information systems
* Building effective working relationships with internal stakeholders to support positive people outcomes

These roles provide a unique opportunity to build broad HR capability within a supportive and experienced team environment.

About you

To be successful, you will demonstrate:

* Experience providing HR advice and support across a range of workforce matters
* Sound understanding of HR policies, procedures, employment frameworks, and industrial instruments
* Experience using HRIS systems, recruitment platforms, and competence in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Visio)
* Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Sound judgement, discretion, and problem‐solving capability
* The ability to manage competing priorities in a responsive service environment
* A collaborative and customer‐focused approach
* Experience in a government or similarly regulated environment will be highly regarded.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Law, or a related discipline are desirable.

Special Conditions

Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Check (NPC) prior to being made an offer of employment.

Australian residency or current work permit is required (responsibility of applicant to provide evidence of a current work permit).

Undertake some out-of-hours work and occasional intrastate travel.

Possession of a current driver's licence and willingness to drive is required.

You acknowledge your work, health and safety obligations and our expectations when applying for a role.

The incumbent will be required to undertake emergency management training and must be willing to participate in emergency preparedness, response and recovery activities required by government agencies.
