The Role
You will play a key role in driving new business growth and strengthening market presence across registered pharmaceutical testing services. Working closely with internal technical and client service teams, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities, developing client relationships, and converting prospects into long-term partnerships.
This position offers genuine scope to take ownership of a developing market segment and contribute directly to the organisation's continued commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive new business development across pharmaceutical testing services
* Build and grow a strong pipeline of new and emerging client opportunities
* Develop and manage long-term client relationships across NSW and VIC
* Identify market trends and convert opportunities within a competitive technical environment
* Prepare, submit, and negotiate proposals, pricing, and tender responses
* Manage inbound sales enquiries and convert leads into new business
* Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity reporting
* Collaborate with technical, laboratory, and client services teams to support delivery
* Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and client meetings
* Support broader commercial and marketing initiatives as required
About You
* Proven experience in Business Development or Account Management within laboratory testing or a technical services environment
* Strong track record of winning new business and growing client portfolios
* Confident communicator with strong influencing and negotiation skills
* Ability to operate in a regulated, scientific, or technically complex industry
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail and follow-through
* Proficient in CRM systems and sales pipeline management
* Self‐motivated, resilient, and comfortable working in a target‐driven environment
