Adventist Senior Living is seeking an experienced and detail‐focused Client Accounts Officer to join our Corporate Office team. This role plays a key part in supporting our finance operations, ensuring accurate client billing, government funding claims, and responsive service to residents, families, and internal stakeholders.
This position would suit someone with prior experience in Aged Care or a similar regulated environment, particularly where government funding, claims, or subsidies are involved.
About the role
Reporting to the Finance team, your responsibilities will include:
* Processing client admissions/discharges, billing, invoicing, and direct debits
* Processing client refunds in accordance with regulatory requirements
* Managing accounts receivable functions, including receipting and reconciliations
* Processing and reconciling government funding claims and subsidies using the respective government system.
* Maintaining accurate and compliant client and funding records in finance systems
* Responding to enquiries from residents, families, and internal teams with professionalism and empathy
* Preparing reports and supporting audits as required
* Monitoring outstanding accounts and following up payments in line with ASL policies
* Contributing to process improvements and supporting the wider finance function
About you
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
* Previous experience in Aged Care, healthcare, community services or experience processing and claiming government funds, subsidies or entitlements
* Strong background in accounts receivable, client accounts or finance administration
* High attention to detail with excellent reconciliation skills
* Strong communication skills and the ability to engage respectfully with residents and families
* Ability to handle sensitive financial matters with discretion and empathy
* Competency with MS Office and finance systems
* A proactive and collaborative approach to problem‐solving
Qualifications in Accounting, Finance or Business will be highly regarded but are not essential.
