The purpose of the role is to become a subject matter expert in workplace injury management practices to support Case Managers to develop return to work strategies and to deliver a positive customer experience.
This will be a full time, 12-month contract position based in the Tweed Heads office, with work-from-home flexibility (up to 3 days per week) considered from month three, subject to performance and approval.
Your Responsibilities
* Work directly with Case Managers as part of a team to deliver a positive customer experience.
* Encourage proactive and open communication with key stakeholders during decision making process.
* Provide regular advice and feedback to Case Managers and Team Leaders on decisions relating to injury management (treatment, services, medication etc).
* Provide injury management support to claims team within agreed timeframes.
About You
* Must hold a bachelor's or higher degree in a health or clinical discipline (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, Exercise Science).
* Demonstrated experience in supporting individuals with complex, high-risk injuries requiring coordinated clinical decision-making.
* Knowledge of the Workers Compensation Act 1987 (NSW) and the Workplace Injury Management and Workers Compensation Act 1998 (NSW) would be considered an advantage.
* Ability and commitment to continuous learning.
