Role Description
This is a full-time role for a National Commercial Account Manager - Fitness Partnerships. Your primary focus will be nurturing and expanding relationships with our key fitness group clients – including Snap Fitness, Jetts, Fernwood, Fitness Cartel, Ryderwear, Plus Fitness and similar national gym chains. These relationships are already established; your role is to foster them further, uncover growth opportunities within these networks, and ensure a seamless, proactive experience for each client.
In addition to managing current accounts, you will also leverage your networks and industry knowledge to identify new commercial opportunities through targeted outreach, referrals, and event-based networking.
Key Responsibilities
- Key Account Management & Growth
- Act as the main point of contact for key gym group clients, ensuring consistent, high-quality communication and service.
- Strengthening partnerships with the goal to develop preferred or exclusive supplier arrangements
- Maintain regular check-ins, identify upsell and expansion opportunities (e.g. new locations, product rollouts), and proactively address client needs.
- Deliver proposals, product updates, and tailored commercial solutions to maximise account potential.
- Partner closely with logistics and operations to ensure smooth delivery, installation, and client onboarding experiences.
- Strategic Business Development
- Identify and engage new prospective clients within the commercial fitness and wellness space through industry relationships, networking, and referrals.
- Attend relevant conferences, expos, and industry events to build brand visibility and connect with decision-makers.
- Collaborate with the Head of Commercial Sales to develop a strategic growth plan for untapped verticals and partnerships in the gym industry.
- Sales Operations & Support
- Support incoming commercial leads (excluding verticals managed by Head of Commercial Sales), and manage showroom appointments in our Brisbane space.
- Maintain accurate records in Pipedrive (CRM), ensuring all client interactions, opportunities, and follow-ups are documented.
- Liaise with internal teams (Marketing, Finance, Logistics) to align on campaign activity, invoicing, stock availability, and delivery timelines.
- Provide regular feedback on client trends and market insights to inform product development and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in account management, ideally within the fitness, wellness, or commercial equipment industries.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and long-term partnerships. Including already established relationships withing the fitness and or wellness industry.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify and capitalise on growth opportunities.
- Professional, self-driven, and highly organised, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Confident presenter and negotiator, with experience delivering tailored proposals and closing deals.
- A genuine passion for health, fitness, and the power of movement.
