Details: The Senior Business Support Officer provides high level administrative and executive support to the Commissioner and the office, as well as undertaking public facing reception duties. A Senior Business Support Officer is responsible for supporting the Commissioner, overseeing the office administrative functions of the commission and streamlining administrative operations to encourage productivity and efficiency within the workplace.
Eligibility/Other requirements:
* Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to - Apply for or renew a WWVP registration - Access Canberra
* This position does not require a pre-employment medical check.
* Experience in the use of computer applications, including the Microsoft Office Suite, Records Management Systems such as TRIM, financial business systems like Oracle, TM1, APIAS and other purpose-built databases is highly desirable.
* To be eligible for permanent or temporary employment within the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) you must be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident or hold a valid work visa.
* If an officer no longer holds a visa that permits them to work in Australia, their employment with the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) will be terminated.
Note: This is a temporary position available immediately for 12 months with the possibility of permanency. An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months.
