Job Opportunity
The Legal Counsel role requires a hybrid work arrangement with at least three days per week in the office. This position supports the superannuation funds within the broader legal team.
This is an opportunity for a talented individual to progress their legal career in superannuation or wealth management, requiring at least 3 years' experience and a law degree with Solicitor qualifications.
The role involves providing advice on aspects of superannuation business including trustee governance, regulatory issues, breach reporting, member complaints, product changes, and trustee service provider arrangements.
Key Requirements
* Law degree and qualified as a Solicitor (at least 3 years PQE)
* Experience working within a Superannuation fund or related environment
* Pro-active and highly organized with strong attention to detail
* Ability to draft and edit concisely with strong Microsoft Office skills
Responsibilities
* Provide advice on all aspects of superannuation business
* Review PDSs and other disclosure material
* Liaise with lawyers in the superannuation team and broader legal, compliance and public affairs teams
* Instruct external counsel and manage spend
* Assist with development and scheduling of internal training
* Conduct legal research
