Transport Operations Scheduler - Equal Time

The position
We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Scheduler to join our dynamic operation team based in Hope Valley, WA. The role is on an equal time basis.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, this position will suit a highly focused and organised individual who prides themselves on always delivering a high level of service and exceeding customer expectations.
The candidate
The successful team member will be able to work autonomously or within a team and have a professional approach to all tasks as part of their role. Ideally the successful applicant should have some previous experience in a transport environment; however if you have a can do attitude and looking to establish a career in transport and logistics, we want to hear from you too.
With an uncompromising commitment to safety, high attention to detail, this important role is responsible for ensuring the safe and cost-effective management of our transport operations through effective driver management and resource utilization. This role is a full-time position.
The successful applicant will be part of a team responsible for:
* Day to day operations of our fleet
* Timely and effective scheduling of all services
* Collation of all documentation for effective processing
* Maintenance planning of fleet with key workshop personnel
* Liaise with client and internal key management
* Preparation of relevant transport documentation & paperwork
* Fatigue management and compliance
* Strong safety leadership
* Job creation in our Transport management System (TMS)
The successful candidate needs to have the below attributes:
* Transport and supply chain knowledge preferred
* Previous experience with a Transport management system or similar
* Reliable, approachable, punctual with a professional attitude
* Able to work unsupervised, process after hours calls from time to time
* Good interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment
* Sound experience in Microsoft, Excel and Word
* Planning, prioritising and time management
