Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee the delivery of services, team and staff management, and all related logistics at our Port facility in Sydney.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with high capacity to manage a team to deliver results and lead change. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and leading a team of direct reports, ensuring efficient and effective processes at the Port (Shorex operations).

* The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, both verbal and written English, plus fluency in other languages would be advantageous.

The role requires previous experience in travel/tourism and or cruise ships as this will bring significant value to the position. You will work closely with the Port Delivery Team Manager to ensure a good commercial relationship with Cruise Lines by providing relevant feedback picked up during operation.

You will also be responsible for planning and booking of services to conduct shore excursions at various ports of Australia and overseeing and managing operations incidents in the Port and reviewing that there is no impact in the delivery of the operation.


Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage a team of direct reports to achieve operational excellence
2. Develop and implement efficient and effective processes at the Port (Shorex operations)
3. Manage and plan shore excursions at various ports of Australia
4. Oversee and manage operations incidents in the Port
5. Review and report on the delivery of operations to ensure minimal disruption


Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

* A strong background in team leadership and management
* Previous experience in travel/tourism and/or cruise ships
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Fluency in multiple languages would be advantageous
