Energy Consultant

Basic salary up to £4,500 plus uncapped commission, starting January 2026. Monday to Friday with early finish Fridays.

The role of an Energy Consultant revolves around stimulating business development through 360 prospecting of new customers and managing existing clientele. An 18‐month background in B2B sales within the utilities industry is desirable, though not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct cold calls to potential customers, prospect for new business opportunities
* Showcase ability to up‐sell and cross‐sell products and services featured in our catalogue
* Collect market and customer information to generate sales opportunities
* Secure Bills and Letters of Authority from customers
* Handle objections adaptively, converting them into opportunities
* Convert leads into sales successfully
* Maintain accurate and compliant customer information
* Present the business professionally at all times
* Respond to email and phone inquiries promptly
* Proactively seek sales opportunities to meet and exceed revenue targets and KPIs
* Manage client accounts effectively
* Build and maintain a customer pipeline persistently
* Attend required training sessions
* Promote and adhere to the company's core values and mission statement

Skills Required

* Prior experience in B2B energy telesales is essential
* Energy‐related knowledge is helpful but not mandatory for lead generation
* Confidence to initiate outbound contact and close sales
* Ability to work independently and within a team
* Proficiency in computer skills
* Exceptional customer service talent
* Outstanding oral and written communication skills
* Success in a target‐driven environment
* Highly punctual and presentable
* Excellent time‐management and organisational skills
* Initiative and eagerness to learn new sales techniques
* Adaptable mindset to evolving business needs

Experience

* Sales within Energy Industry: 18 months (required)
* B2B telesales experience: 2 years (required) or 6 months for Lead Generation
* Ability to work under pressure to meet targets and KPIs
* IT literate
