About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented
Accounts Payable Officer (Part-Time)
to support our Finance team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, has strong attention to detail, and can manage accounts payable tasks accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
You will be responsible for processing
multi-currency invoices
from
overseas suppliers
, performing reconciliations, and supporting payment runs, while maintaining strong relationships with both suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Raise purchase orders and process supplier payments when required
* Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
* Match invoices to purchase orders, bookings, and approved documentation
* Prepare and support weekly/fortnightly payment runs
* Ensure suppliers are paid on time via:
International bank transfers & Credit card payments through supplier portals
* Manage payment confirmations and send remittance advice
* Maintain supplier records and complete supplier account and statement reconciliations
* Handle supplier enquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly and professionally
* Assist with credit card and expense reconciliations
* Support month-end closing tasks and reporting as required
* Ensure all documentation is accurate, well-organised, and audit-ready
* Identify opportunities to improve Accounts Payable processes and efficiency
Skills & Experience
* Minimum
2+ years of experience
in Accounts Payable or a similar finance role
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Confident with reconciliations and problem-solving
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Experience using accounting software (
Xero, MYOB, NetSuite, SAP
, or similar)
- Intermediate Excel skills preferred
- Able to work independently and meet deadlines
