About the Role
Are you a visionary HR professional who excels at aligning people strategy with organisational goals? We are looking for a Strategic Talent Lead to support one of our Federal Government clients
In this role, you will diagnose organisational performance gaps, forecast future labor requirements, and design the structures and development programs that empower leaders. You will be a key partner to senior executives, providing the coaching and workforce insights needed to build a resilient, high-performing digital and ICT workforce.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Talent Management: Lead talent identification and development plans with a heavy focus on succession planning and enhancing leadership quality.
* Organisational Diagnosis: Identify gaps between current and desired performance; implement solutions through organisational redesign, coaching, and training.
* Workforce Modeling: Analyse trends to forecast future labor requirements, supporting senior leaders in long-term workforce planning.
* Stakeholder Partnership: Build deep relationships across the division to drive performance management and reward strategies that foster innovation.
* Digital Capability Building: Assist in creating specialised development programs for critical ICT roles (e.g., Product Owners, Senior Responsible Owners).
* Leadership Coaching: Provide direct coaching to senior leaders on interpersonal communication, team dynamics, and effective performance feedback.
Essential experience:
1. Talent & Recruitment Expertise: Deep understanding of policies and guidelines relating to end-to-end talent management.
2. Proven Talent Strategy: Demonstrated experience in designing and executing successful talent management frameworks.
3. Risk Management: Ability to manage complex risks, specifically in developing labor-hire risk assessments and compliance.
4. Results Under Pressure: A track record of delivering positive outcomes within tight timeframes and shifting priorities.
5. Stakeholder Navigation: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to navigate complex, high-level stakeholder relationships.
6. Integrity & Drive: Strong personal drive and integrity, working effectively within legislative and budget parameters.
Desirable:
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Diploma or Cert IV in Government/HR) or equivalent industry certification.
