About the Job
This could be your gateway into a new sales career in food-focused chemical solutions.
Our client is a trusted name partnering with some of Australia's most recognised food producers to deliver smarter, safer, and more effective products.
With strong growth continuing across their Food Division, they're now looking for a motivated and driven Technical Sales Representative to help fuel their next phase of expansion in Adelaide.
In this hands-on client-facing role, you'll be the key connection point between customers and cutting-edge solutions.
* Building genuine, long-term partnerships with existing clients and identifying new opportunities to grow accounts.
* Taking a consultative approach to sales — listening, understanding needs, and proposing tailored solutions that deliver real value.
* Prospecting and onboarding new customers to expand market reach and strengthen brand presence.
* Preparing, presenting, and negotiating proposals, contracts, and tender documents.
* Using Salesforce to manage your pipeline and track customer activity.
* Providing technical support, conducting food safety audits, and guiding customers on compliance and best practice.
Your Skills and Experience
We're looking for someone who thrives in a commercial, technical environment and is confident engaging with customers in the field.
* A proven background in sales, account management, or business development — ideally within food, industrial chemicals, or related technical sectors (but not mandatory).
* Strong technical understanding and a practical, hands-on approach is critical (some engineering or chemistry experience would be advantageous).
* Excellent communication, listening and relationship-building skills.
* Experience preparing and negotiating tenders or proposals.
* Working knowledge of food safety standards (including FSANZ) and experience with cleanout or compliance audits.
* A background in food manufacturing, quality, agriculture, or engineering.
* The ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced setting.
Why You'll Love This Role
- A dynamic, autonomous position within a high-performing and growing division. Fully remote role.
- Opportunities to work closely with some of Australia's most well-known food manufacturing brands in a mixture of account management and hunting new accounts.
- Direct access to an experienced Division Manager and a supportive, collaborative team.
- A competitive salary package with incentives.
- Clear pathways for career growth within a respected, global organisation.
Bonus Points: A degree in food science, chemistry, agriculture, or a related discipline will be highly regarded — but it's your curiosity, technical know-how, and passion for helping customers succeed that will set you apart.
