Your New Role
This role exists to support the Finance and Resources Team who are responsible for Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga’s (CEDWW) taxation, treasury and group accounting matters and ensuring policies, procedures and internal controls are maintained for accounting and taxation compliance.
The Team supports the CEDWW’s core business of school education, providing best practice financial advice and services. These include financial accounting, management accounting, auditing, governance, taxation, budgeting and reporting, procurement to payments, revenue accounting, business strategy, banking relationships, investment funds and borrowings, and the management of special projects.
The role leads the management reporting and treasury functions and assists in the annual budget, acquittal and auditing processes.

Essential Criteria
Bachelor Degree in AccountingMinimum 3 years experience working in Financial and Tax AccountingStrong technical accounting skills including a detailed understanding of current Australian Tax Legislation, GST and FBTDemonstrated ability to explain complex financial situations to non-financial people and to communicate, network and negotiate with all levels of the analytical and problem solving skillsWell developed Google Sheets and or Microsoft excel skillsExcellent organisational, time management and interpersonal skills. Accreditation for Support Staff (Category A, Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools, Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga) or willing to achieve.Current Drivers LicenceCurrent NSW Working With Children CheckSuccessful candidate will undergo a National Criminal History Check
