We are seeking a dedicated purchasing professional to join our small but busy Procurement team. Reporting to the Procurement and Inventory Supervisor, the role involves assisting with the day-to-day Purchasing & inventory control and will include; procurement, Invoice processing, and stock management (including overseeing stocktakes).
You will be responsible for a variety of duties including but not limited to:
Ensuring the buy lists (Purchase Plus Purchasing ordering platform) are up to date for your dedicated sites
Managing your dedicated site stock takes including Monthly & weekly counts when required
Managing the recipes in Purchase Plus for your dedicated sites when required
Maintaining and inventory of stock, material and merchandise.
Tracking status and following up on orders
Identifying, analysing and reporting inventory problems or shortages
Reconciliation of all purchasing systems being Great Plains, Swiftpos & Purchase Plus
Create and manage merchandise self-managed suppliers
Complete all End of Month procedures and reports as required, including but not limited to the monthly catering & general report.
Data Entry and System maintenance
Other ad hoc administrative duties as required.
To be considered for this role, you will possess the following:
At least 12 months years' experience in a purchasing or inventory position;
Intermediate level of experience with Microsoft Office Suite;
Experience with Purchase Plus &/or Swiftpos will be considered an advantage;
Experience within the hospitality industry is favourable;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Valuable time management and problem solving skills;
Attention to detail and customer focused;
Proven ability to work autonomously and in a team environment and;
Goal oriented with the ability to prioritise and meet strict deadlines.
