Macquarie University's Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences is seeking a Cloud Engineer to play a central role in delivering innovative digital health research infrastructure. You will join a multidisciplinary team working on ground-breaking projects including AiCT-MED and OneDementiaHub, that develop AI-enabled analytics tools, secure cloud-based research platforms, and digital solutions to improve medication management, dementia care, and health and aged care service delivery. This is a unique opportunity to apply your technical expertise to projects that directly benefit our communities. Working at the intersection of technology and health research, you'll partner with researchers, clinicians, industry collaborators, and software development teams to establish cloud environments that enable data integration, advanced analytics, and the deployment of digital tools in health and aged care settings. Minimum 3 years' experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure deployment, or DevOps roles. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Azure services and cloud-native infrastructure. Experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools, and building/maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps). Experience enabling analytics platforms, secure data environments, or AI-enabled applications. Sound understanding of cloud security, identity management, and infrastructure monitoring. Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams across technical and non-technical contexts. Desirable: Experience with AI/ML deployment, MLOps workflows, data engineering, or secure platform operations. Experience in digital health, health informatics, or research infrastructure environments. Relevant certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer, or similar. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or container orchestration technologies.
