We are seeking an organised, hands-on Logistics Manager to join our team in Scoresby.
**About the Role**
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- **Logistics: warehousing (own warehouse and 3rd party) materials management, and distribution/transportation**
- Develops, implements, and monitors all logistics management activities required for the timely and efficient transportation and warehousing of incoming and outgoing materials and distribution of products.
- Identifies opportunities for optimization in warehousing, distribution network and local transport
- Responsible for acquisition activities within Logistics (negotiation, contracting and operational follow-up), including local warehousing, local transport and export transport
- Coordinates contract and daily contacts with third party warehouse and freight providers
- Keeps close contacts with customs authorities, develops and implement processes to allow import/export flow in compliance with local regulations in force
- Daily coordination of the warehousing team
- Manages, motivates and inspires the team
- Ensures warehousing activities are managed in a safe work environment, including responsibility for dangerous & hazardous goods storage and handling
- Monitors performance of all logistics activities
- **EH&S**
- provides support on EH&S activities to local directors
- coordinates with third-party specialists
- ensures all Agfa employees and third-party operators are aware of EH&S policies and expections and have completed any required training
- **Housing**
- coordinates leasing contracts for offices and warehouse
- reports on housing activities to global management
- **Purchasing**
- coordinates the local purchasing activities
- initiates Purchase Orders as proposed by local departments
**About you**
- Proven experience in warehouse and logistics management. Working experience in an international environment is an asset
- Experience working with SAP is an asset
- Technical knowledge of Customs and other applicable regulations related to import/export of goods
- Analytical-minded and innovative, with well-developed problem solving skills
- Good leadership and communication skills
