My client is currently constructing an iconic high‐rise tower in the heart of Brisbane. This project demands precision, high‐end finishes, complex structural engineering, and a sharp eye for detail. To help lead the charge, we are looking for a powerhouse Senior Project Engineer who thrives on complexity and takes immense pride in their work.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will be the engine room of the site. You will bridge the gap between design and delivery, ensuring that structural integrity meets luxury aesthetics flawlessly.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
* Structural & Finishes Execution: Oversee the delivery of complex structural cycles (formwork, post‐tensioning, core structures) through to the meticulous execution of premium, high‐end internal finishes.
* Subcontractor Management: Lead, mentor, and manage Tier‐1 subcontractors, ensuring safety, quality, and program milestones are strictly met.
* Design Coordination: Work closely with the in‐house design team and external consultants to resolve RFIs, variations, and constructability issues before they hit the deck.
* Financial Control: Manage project procurement, letting of major packages, variations, and progress claims while tracking against the budget.
* Programming & Scheduling: Maintain and update the look‐ahead programs, identifying critical path risks and driving the site team to hit targets.
About You

To Succeed In This Role, You Will Bring
* A Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Minimum 5–7+ years of experience working with a reputable Tier 1 or Tier 2 builder in Australia.
* A proven track record on high‐rise residential or commercial towers ($100M+ value essential).
* Strong technical knowledge of concrete structures, post‐tensioning, and premium finishes.
* Exceptional communication skills—you can hold your own in a boardroom with developers and on‐site with formworkers.
* A proactive, solution‐oriented mindset (you bring solutions, not just problems).
