**THE OPPORTUNITY**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical individual to join our team as an Inventory Controller. This position involves overseeing and managing the inventory control processes to ensure accurate stock levels, minimize stock discrepancies, and optimize inventory management. The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain efficient inventory operations and support the overall supply chain management.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures and policies to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize stock discrepancies.
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records, including stock counts, receipts, and adjustments.
- Analyse inventory data and generate reports to identify trends, stock movement, and potential issues.
- Collaborate with purchasing and procurement teams to ensure timely and accurate stock replenishment.
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to optimize stock storage, organization, and retrieval processes.
- Implement and enforce inventory control best practices, including proper stock rotation, labelling, and storage.
- Identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and recommend appropriate actions, such as promotions, discounts, or disposal.
- Monitor and control inventory costs, including carrying costs, stock obsolescence, and shrinkage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, plan stock levels, and optimize inventory turnover.
- Investigate and resolve any inventory discrepancies or issues, such as stock shortages, overages, or damaged goods.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in inventory management practices and technologies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to inventory control.

- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role, with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control principles, procedures, and best practices.
- Proficient in using inventory management software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in inventory management.
- Flexibility to work in different shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
