Our Client

Our client is a large import and distribution business with a strong national presence and a fast-paced commercial finance environment. Due to a short-term backfill requirement and a backlog of claims and rebate activity, they are seeking an experienced Claims / Rebates Analyst to join the team on a temporary basis.

The Role

Reporting into the finance/commercial team, this role will support the business with the review, validation and processing of supplier claims, customer rebates and trade spend activity. You will be working through a backlog of rebate and promotional claims, checking that orders and supporting documentation align with agreed trading terms. This may include promotional arrangements such as customers purchasing a certain volume of stock to qualify for a rebate, or validating whether claims meet supplier and commercial agreements.

Your key responsibilities will include:

* Reviewing and validating rebate, claims and trade spend documentation
* Checking customer orders, quantities, dates, pricing and promotional eligibility
* Matching claims against agreed terms, contracts or promotional arrangements
* Investigating discrepancies and following up with sales teams where further information is required
* Liaising with suppliers to confirm claim details and resolve queries
* Supporting the team to clear a backlog of claims and rebate processing
* Maintaining accurate records and ensuring claims are processed correctly and efficiently
* Working with high-volume data while maintaining strong attention to detail

The Successful Candidate

The successful candidate will be confident working with transactional data, documentation and internal stakeholders. You will have strong attention to detail, be comfortable investigating discrepancies, and be able to follow up with sales teams and suppliers in a professional manner. You may have experience across:

* Claims, rebates, trade spend or promotional claims
* Sales support, commercial administration or finance administration
* Accounts receivable, accounts payable or order validation
* Supplier claims, pricing support or customer rebate processing
* Distribution, FMCG, wholesale, import or product-based environments

Strong Excel skills, accuracy and the ability to work through high-volume detail will be highly regarded.
