What’s the role all about?
This 4 day a week role is suitable for a professional photographer who wishes to retain the freedom to pursue project and freelance work.
* Creating visually stunning assets for QMS digital and static assets - both large and small format.
* Capture high-quality images that meet the briefs and reflect our brand.
* Edit and enhance images to ensure they meet our visual standards.
* Use industry-standard software and techniques to refine images and ensure they are ready for use in campaigns and other assets.
* Research the industry and competitors to ensure the images stand out and reflect current trends.
* Ensure appropriate management of files and backups and ensure any necessary paperwork or documentation is completed on time.
* Consistently communicate with relevant teams regarding delivery times and schedules.
What we’re looking for
* Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Photography, Visual Arts, or related fields is desirable but not essential.
* Proven experience in commercial photography, especially in delivering client-specific images under tight deadlines.
* Familiarity with shooting in outdoor environments, including managing lighting conditions and weather challenges.
* Understanding of OOH media standards, including Pro Pics and Proof of Posting requirements, is advantageous.
* Comfortable driving long distances within Melbourne and interstate as required; familiarity with Melbourne’s geography is a plus.
* Ability to provide a portfolio showcasing a variety of photographic styles and post-production skills.
* Proficiency with Adobe Lightroom and advanced Photoshop techniques (e.g., color grading, masking, and compositing).
* Familiarity with professional-grade cameras, lenses, and lighting equipment; ability to perform basic equipment maintenance.
* Understanding of different file formats and their application in digital media and print.
* Experience in drone operation and aerial photography, including licensing or certifications, is a bonus.
* Ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
