Goldspring has an opening for an experienced workshop Plant Mechanic.
In this position you will play an important role and make a significant contribution in the Hunter Valley Maintenance Team to achieve the safety, service, equipment reliability to meet defined business needs.

This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all plant & equipment for Goldspring Group and associated entities:
* Earthmoving equipment fleet
* Road/rail plant and specialist attachments
* Road transport and trailer fleet
* Light vehicle fleet
* Powered tooling and equipment
Key Responsibilities:
* You will be working alongside a dedicated maintenance team based at Rutherford NSW.
* Carryout equipment repairs, maintenance and service needs in line with business demands.
* Service, repairs and maintenance of company fleet in the field.
* Attend pre-start meetings relevant to service activities and toolbox meetings.
* Daily recording of all jobs activities and completing Maintenance, Compliance forms, Job cards, Dockets and Timesheets.
* Assists the Team Leader in planning, troubleshooting, parts and materials ordering for efficient operations.
To be successful in this challenging and busy position you will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills or attributes:
Essential Criteria:
* Minimum 3 years' experience in the same or similar role.
* Trade qualification – Plant/Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Transport Mechanic, Cert III Mobile Plant.
* Experience in the Earthmoving Industry.
* Demonstrated understanding and experience of relevant earthmoving plant systems and schematics via OEM training Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Engine, Transmission.
* Trouble shooting and diagnosis experience.
* Results driven, solutions focused and highly organised.
* Demonstrated high level of problem solving and communication skills.
* Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety.
* Drivers Licence.
* Strong team player.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Good customer service skills.
* Ability to handle hour days when required.
Preferred Criteria:
* WHS Construction Induction Card.
* MDG25 or willing to obtain.
* Sound knowledge of Civil, Rail and Transport Industries.
* Reside or able to reside local to the Maitland area.
* First Aid Qualification.
