The Compassionate Friends Inc. Mandurah – Mandurah WA
As the Promotion and Events Officer, you will coordinate a range of fundraising and memorial events that help sustain our services and honour the loved ones we support. Working closely with the PR Manager, you will liaise with community agencies, the City of Mandurah, local and state media outlets including radio and newspapers, as well as local businesses to promote awareness of our mission and activities. This role will also involve representing The Compassionate Friends at shopping centres, community gatherings and TCFhosted events to strengthen engagement and visibility across the community.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate a range of fundraising and memorial events to sustain services and honour loved ones supported by The Compassionate Friends.
* Collaborate with the PR Manager and liaise with community agencies, the City of Mandurah, local and state media including radio and newspapers, and local businesses to promote awareness of our mission and activities.
* Represent The Compassionate Friends at shopping centres, community gatherings and TCF-hosted events to strengthen engagement and visibility across the community.
* Ensure events uphold compassionate and supportive values, focusing on reaching more families in need and ensuring that no one has to walk the path of grief alone.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Excellent communication, organisational and relationship-building abilities.
* Strong project coordination and event management skills.
* Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and communities.
* Time commitment: Flexible days and time about 4 hours a week and when required for events.
