This role will embark on a program of learning and skills development as an active participant in a team that delivers activation, events, arts and cultural activities, along with place-based and targeted group engagement activities within the Shellharbour Civic Centre and across the Shellharbour region.
This opportunity is open to both school leavers and mature age applicants who are eligible for admission to the Certificate III in Events and who do not already hold a Certificate III qualification or higher.
The traineeship has an anticipated start date in July 2025 and covers both practical and theoretical requirements supported by Council and TAFE.
Council's Cadet, Apprentice and Trainee (CAT) Program aims to grow Council's skilled workforce capacity by creating job opportunities and a talent pipeline for specialised roles. It also aims to develop future leaders by providing employment opportunities and professional development experiences that support external tertiary study. Council’s cadets, apprentices, or trainees receive ongoing training, guidance, and support from workplace mentors while completing a nationally recognized qualification.

* Temporary full-time, 35 hours per week, including evening and weekend shifts, up to 24 months (or the duration of the traineeship)
