Amentum seeks a Fire Alarm Systems Technician as part of a multi-skilled team to maintain facility infrastructure and critical systems at OASIS. This role involves technical repair and maintenance of fire alarm equipment, including planning, organization, coordination, scheduling, and resource management for daily maintenance tasks.
You will be responsible for completing fire system maintenance efficiently, identifying deficiencies, and working closely with the Facilities Operations Team, other Maintainers, and departments to ensure reliable system operation. The role requires adaptability, high-standard task completion, and support for continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
1. Inspect, test, and maintain fire systems and infrastructure per standards.
2. Perform repairs and install fire systems and infrastructure.
3. Program Notifier systems.
4. Coordinate life safety system impairments with operational personnel.
5. Maintain current knowledge of facilities infrastructure and systems.
6. Inspect fire extinguishers.
7. Train site incident response personnel on life safety systems.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Requirements
* NICET II or III – Fire Alarm Systems
* Understanding of WSH Act and EHS policies
* Experience in Facility Maintenance or similar technical environment
* Knowledge of electrical infrastructure and electronic equipment terminology
* Understanding of facilities equipment and O&M requirements
* Knowledge of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance
Desirable Qualifications
* NICET I or II - Fire Special Hazards
* NICET I or II - Water Based Systems Inspection and Testing
* Experience with Notifier systems
* Trade qualification
* ERP experience (SAP, Archibus)
* Microsoft Office proficiency
Experience
* Minimum 2 years in a similar role
* Experience with diverse fire systems and suppression equipment preferred
Physical Requirements
* Medically fit to perform physical tasks, including lifting and traversing maintenance environments.
Security Clearance
Employees must obtain and retain the appropriate security and medical clearances. US employees require TS/SCI with poly clearance.
