Livingstone Shire council is recruiting for a permanent full time skilled trade qualified Carpenter to join Council's Facilities Management team. This role reports to the Supervisor Facilities Maintenance and involves performing a variety of carpentry tasks, including construction, maintenance, and repairs of Council assets. The successful candidate will work on minor capital building projects and maintenance activities, ensuring high standards of workmanship and safety at all times. Candidates will be required to demonstrate how their experience meets the position responsibilities and requirements as outlined in the position description.
Successful candidates will have sound knowledge of carpentry methods related to project construction and will be able to demonstrated their knowledge of current building codes and work health and safety legislation. Our carpenters play a key role in promoting safety at work, and leading by example through safe work practices, sharing safety experiences and reporting.
