Golding currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee a team of maintenance personnel at South Walker Creek Mine, just 1.5 hours from Mackay. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, this role will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering maintenance outcomes and ensuring compliance with all safety and operational requirements.
This role operates on a 7/7 roster, rotating day and night shifts. With a strong partnership in place with our client Stanmore, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing project that has recently secured a five-year contract extension. Accommodation and meals are provided.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and supervise the crew to safely and efficiently deliver maintenance outcomes in line with the authorised Shift Plan.
* Allocate tasks and communicate key information during pre-start and toolbox meetings.
* Conduct shift handovers, communicating the status of planned work (and authorised variations) and equipment readiness to enable efficient commencement by the incoming crew.
* Monitor and evaluate maintenance performance, identify issues, and take corrective action to meet plan requirements.
* Work collaboratively with the Mining Supervisor to prioritise and implement maintenance plans, including breakdowns and deviations.
* Assess team training needs and coordinate sessions to build required skills in accordance with the Training Plan.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment faults, and oversee disassembly, assembly, and routine servicing of machinery.
* Provide advice to management, support business improvement projects, and undertake additional safe duties as required.
* Source and secure parts, resources, and tooling to support maintenance activities.
* Follow Golding Systems and ensure compliance with plans and schedules.
* Build strong internal and external relationships to support project outcomes.
Key Capability Requirements:
* Relevant trade qualifications.
* Demonstrated experience with heavy mobile earthmoving equipment.
* Previous experience in a Leading Hand or Supervisory role (preferred).
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with minimal supervision.
* Familiarity with SAP (highly desirable).
* Positive attitude towards safety with a commitment to zero-harm.
* Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and initiative.
* Well-developed problem-solving and analytical skills.
