This is a permanent part-time position, working 19 hours per week, located at the Brisbane Australia Temple. The successful candidate will work from this location and report to the Temple Recorder.This position aims to provide an environment where patrons have a positive and joyful experience each time they visit the temple. As Temple Clothing Supervisor, you will ensure that clean, well-maintained temple clothing and linen supplies are available for patrons, workers, and employees.ResponsibilitiesProvide prompt, cheerful service to all patrons requesting temple clothing through proper scheduling and supervision of staff.Supervise staff, maintaining discipline and high morale. Monitor and evaluate performance. Prepare timesheets and logs of volunteer hours.Maintain adequate inventory of rental clothing and cleaning supplies by monitoring stock levels and initiating requisitions with sufficient lead time.Ensure the linen/clothing operation is financially sustainable by coordinating staff requirements, rental charges, and purchases with the Temple Recorder.Oversee training of new workers through personal orientation, pairing them with experienced staff, and monitoring their interactions.QualificationsMinimum two years of linen and laundry experience (commercial or temple).Experience in inventory control.Basic financial knowledge.Excellent interpersonal skills.Physical ability to lift 25 kg, bend, stoop, pull, push, and perform in a fast-paced environment; standing for extended periods is required.Note: Only applicants with current legal authorization to work in Australia should apply.Applications must be submitted online via the Church's Careers website by 5:00 pm, Friday, 28 March 2025.Church employees find joy and satisfaction in utilizing their talents to further the Lord’s work, from developing technology to maintaining facilities that provide sacred ordinances and worship spaces.
