Job Description:
Fixed Plant Maintenance Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our Fixed Plant Maintenance team at our Newman Operations. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for carrying out preventive, reactive and planned maintenance tasks to support plant availability in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain a high profile in the promotion of safe working conditions and practices to ensure a safe working environment
* Undertake preventative maintenance inspections in accordance with maintenance planning systems and recommending appropriate follow-up action
* Repair and service fixed plant equipment, attend breakdowns and maintain plant availability
* Ability to collaborate to fault find equipment in breakdown situations
* Carry out all activities within the whole-of-job scope, including pre-work, preparation of JHAs and organizing materials, execution, testing and completion of tasks
Requirements:
* Australian recognised Mechanical Trade with experience in Fixed Plant, Mechanical Fitters, Boilermakers or other Mechanical trades with Fixed Plant experience accepted
* Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to safe systems of work
* Experience with 1 SAP or similar systems is highly advantageous but not essential
* Ability to adapt and work within planned or breakdown maintenance environments
* Proactive with belief in the value that maintenance can bring to an organisation
