This fixed term position (58 hours per fortnight) is an AO5 classification based at our Southport Campus, with hybrid work arrangements available.
The role is part-time, 4 days per week, and will continue until 18 December ****, with potential for extension.
Help shape the public image of TAFE Queensland Gold Coast by leading dynamic PR strategies, crafting compelling content, and delivering standout events that make an impact.
About the Position - Key Responsibilities:
Provide up to date and authoritative advice on the most effective strategies for public consultation, community engagement and media management with the development of communication strategies and plans that contribute to the effectiveness of corporate and program specific public relations campaigns.
Research and write media releases, advertorials, speeches and copy for TAFE Queensland Gold Coast publications and marketing collateral, including print, electronic and social media in consultation with the Manager, Marketing.
Project manage promotional activities and public relations events including open days, promotions and campus functions.
Develop and maintain a close working relationship with internal clients and team members to ensure successful business outcomes for the region, including the implementation of public relations and promotional plans.
Maintain an understanding of the commercial aspects of TAFE Queensland including financial and business performance and any impact from external factors.
Actively engage with industry, business and the community
Model and actively promote an ethical and safe work environment that supports a culture of zero harm and best practice regarding health, safety, wellness and sustainability.

About You - Key Capabilities:
Demonstrated success in a public relations or communications role, having developed effective communication plans and strategies for public consultation, community engagement and media management that contribute to the effectiveness of corporate public relations campaigns.
Demonstrated success in the project management of small to large scale events and promotional activities within set timeframes and budget.
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills as evidenced by the ability to consult, liaise, negotiate and develop effective client relationships with both internal and external clients.
Demonstrated success in producing professional written materials for a variety of public relations and marketing activities, researching and writing media releases and speeches, award submissions, advertorials, copy for print, electronic and social media.
Displays flexibility and responsiveness and has the initiative, attitude and ability to thrive within a dynamic, challenging and changing environment.
