You’ll:Preparefinancial models, reports, and data insights for informedbusiness decisions.Ensureaccounting systems and processes meet legislative, policy, andinternal control requirements.Identify andimplement improvements that boost accuracy, efficiency, andinnovation.Provide expertfinancial advice and support to business units and Councilteams.Assist with thepreparation of General Purpose Financial Statements and relatedreports.Maintain strongknowledge of Council-wide accounting systems to ensurecompliance.Promote aresults-focused culture aligned with Council’s CorporatePlan.Supportbusiness continuity during unplanned events by following setprocedures.AboutYouThe IdealApplicant Will HaveA Bachelor ofBusiness (Accounting) or equivalent, with 3–5 years ofexperience in a similar role in a medium to largeorganisation.CA or CPAmembership (highly regarded) or currently working towardsit.Strongunderstanding of accounting standards, legislation, andpolicies, with the ability to apply them to improve businessprocesses.Experienceusing large financial systems and confident in writingfinancial reports.AdvancedMicrosoft Excel skills and proficiency with other MicrosoftOffice programs.Solid knowledgeof modern internal control practices.A proven teamplayer with experience in high-performing teams.How toApplyYourapplication can be submitted through the 'Apply' button.
